MosJazz Festival (late November)
At the end of November, Santos Beach hosts MosJazz, a four-day seaside jazz festival featuring local and international talent like Emo Adams, Dawnay, Jamali and more. Expect live music stages, food and craft stalls, camping by the beach and fabulous ocean views.
Ironman 70.3 Mossel Bay (mid-November)
Every year in November, elite athletes converge for the Ironman 70.3 Mossel Bay, a grueling race with a 1.9 km swim, 90 km bike and 21.1 km run along the coastline.
Santos Beach Auto Extremo (early September)
Motorheads rejoice at the Santos Beach Auto Extremo in early September: a spirited automotive gathering with drift demos, custom cars, local vendors and sands-wept coastal vibes.
Sports & Recreation Festival (late August to mid-October)
The Mossel Bay Sport and Recreation Festival runs annually from August through October, hosting more than 50 sports codes including rugby, cycling, water sports and athletics – an inclusive community event organized by the municipality.
New Year Celebrations & Diaz Summer Splash (mid-to-late December)
In December, the Diaz Summer Splash lights up Diaz Beach with live performances, family activities, food stalls and market vibes across two festive weeks. The Trans Agulhas Challenge ultramarathon and Groot Brak Grabadoo fun run also headline over the year-end and New Year period.
Weekly Markets & Local Creative Vibes
Every Saturday, the Droombos Farmer’s Market in Tergniet offers fresh produce, handcrafted goods and live tunes. In October, creative workshops and pop-ups at Marguerite’s Art Café spark community gathering for art lovers and families.
