Stellenbosch Safe Travels Stamp, Garden Route next?
Stellenbosch has become the first destination in South Africa to be awarded Safe Travels Stamp by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC). Will the Garden Route be next?
Stellenbosch proudly announced it was given the Safe Travels Stamp by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) last week.
WTTC, representing the global Travel and Tourism private sector, designed the special Safe Travels stamp to enable travelers to identify destinations and businesses around the world which adopted its health and hygiene global standardized protocols. The approval is given based on adherence to the various protocols suggested for different sectors of the industry worldwide.
In South Africa the Tourism Business Council of South Africa (TBCSA) has similarly issued extensive protocols for different sectors within the South African tourism industry.
These protocols are aligned, and when your establishment or business has implemented your own company protocols, it is then easy to apply with WTTC for your business’ own #SafeTravels stamp. How to go about it can be found on the WTTC #SafeTravels website.
The open spaces, multitude of outdoor activities, golf courses galore and nature to indulge in, the Garden Route can be seen as one of the safest places in the world to travel to.
So when you have finalized your own internal protocols, why not send them to the WTTC and get your own #SafeTravel stamp?
Wouldn’t it be great if the Garden Route was dotted with establishments adhering to the protocols, and together we show the world the Garden Route IS actually one of the safest places to travel to?
