Level 3 and beyond – let’s grow, together!
As South Africa moves to Level 3 of the lockdown, many people return to work. Most of us in the hospitality industry don’t… As yet…
It doesn’t mean we can not work towards the better future we’re all looking for! If we can continue helping each other – like we’ve done over the last 60+ days – we can all come out stronger and more connected on the other side.
GROwn Online
As you may or may not know Destination Garden Route has started an initiative called GROwn Online, assisting local entrepreneurs in retaining some income during this crisis. Initially we concentrated on ‘essential goods’ like face masks and shields, with the remarkable result that:
- One of our first orders came from a US/Korea based small business;
- The first ‘export’ was delivered in The Netherlands on Friday!
Through collaboration with by now 4 local suppliers we have all made a little bit of money and been able to pay (some of) the bills. AND by donating part of the proceeds one of our local charities was able to assist feeding more hungry citizens.
Win win for everybody!
Expansion
We are now in the stage of expansion and need your help! We will be sending out our next update to all Garden Route and Klein Karoo based establishments on our database on Monday. The more people read it, the bigger the impact this plan can have.
We have been working hard behind the scenes to collect targeted email addresses from Garden Route and Klein Karoo based accommodation establishments. Although you may not have received correspondence from us before, I would hope you hear us out on Monday, and like and share the idea of collaborative growth we will propose.
Collaboration
Are you based in the Garden Route and Klein Karoo? Can you assist: spread the word, make a unique product, support your local entrepreneurs?
Interested? Want to know more? Please keep an eye out for your inbox on Monday!
If you want to make sure you’re part of the plan, please send a private message or email to ypie@destinationgardenroute.co.za to make sure you’re on the list!
