Garden Route winner among World Travel Awards
Pezula Nature Hotel & Spa, based in Knysna on the Garden Route coast was announced winner as Africa’s Leading Sports Resort 2023 in the annual World Travel Awards Africa, recently held in Dubai. This is the 2nd time Pezula wins this category, after winning Africa’s Most Romantic Resort, (South) Africa’s Leading Spa Resort and South Africa’s Leading Hotel in previous years.
Cape Town was crowned as Africa’s Leading City Destination 2023, which followed previous awards as the World’s Leading Festival & Event Destination over several years previous to that too. Cape Town International Airport – being a major hub for visitors to the Mother City and the Garden Route – won the award for Africa’s Leading Airport 2023, an accolade it holds without interruption since 2017.
The World Travel Awards was established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the tourism industry.
