With a total ascent of 1\,560 meters and a descent of 1\,815 meters\, it’s a true test of endurance that rewards you with stunning vistas and a sense of accomplishment. \nThe event is inclusive\, welcoming mountain bikes\, gravel bikes\, and e-bikes.  In fact\, e-bike entries have tripled in recent years\, and the race now offers a free battery swap service to keep you powered throughout the journey. The race’s defining feature remains the infamous Attakwaskloof Pass\, a steep\, rocky climb that has become synonymous with the event’s reputation for brutality.
